Wezi, a multifaceted Zambian artist, has left an indelible mark on the music industry as a singer, songwriter, storyteller, music producer, and an executive at “Heartsound Media Zambia.”
Her dynamic career has seen her effortlessly traverse diverse music genres, establishing herself as an African soul sensation known for her collaborations that transcend musical boundaries.


Early Life
Born on May 25, 1992, in Ndola at the Ndola Central Hospital, Wezi, whose full name is Victoria Wezi Mhone, embodies the essence of African culture and heritage. She is the second of four children born to Apostle Simon Mhone and Pastor Royce Chanje Banda.
Her formative years were spent in Ndola, under the nurturing care of her maternal uncle, the enterprising Goodwin Banda.
Academic Journey
Wezi’s pursuit of higher education led her to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, where she embarked on a psychology degree. However, financial constraints halted her academic journey prematurely. Although she remained resolute in her desire to pursue music concurrently.


Early Career
Wezi’s unwavering commitment to music led her to audition for a record label deal under ‘T-Sean & T-Bwoy’ at “Bizzy-Baila International.” Eventually, she branched out independently under the management of her childhood friend and colleague, Ezra “Blackson” Mwansa. Her debut performance was alongside renowned South African singer, Zahara, marking the inception of her musical journey.
